TOXICIDADE NAS PRÁTICAS DE FÃS NA POLÊMICA REPERCUSSÃO DO FILME STAR WARS: OS ÚLTIMOS JEDI

Resumo

Este artigo discute as concepções de toxicidade nas mediações que o fandom brasileiro de Star Wars fez do comportamento de fãs na repercussão do filme Os Últimos Jedi. Partiu-se da perspectiva teórica que assume o fascínio e frustração como premissas para os engajamentos de fãs, articulando noções de antifandom, fantagonismos e práticas tóxicas. A partir dos resultados parciais da minha pesquisa de mestrado, duas concepções de toxicidade são identificadas nas publicações analisadas, indicando que a discussão sobre práticas tóxicas de fãs, nesse episódio, esteve associada ao acirramento dos fantagonismos no fandom da saga na era Disney.
