This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis, based on bibliographical sources, of the costumes in the Bridgerton series and their adaptation to the portrayed historical period, with a focus on the character Daphne in the first season. The research draws on studies in costume design, audiovisual semiotics, and fashion history, as well as analysis of the show's wardrobe. The findings reveal that the series combines period-appropriate silhouettes with contemporary materials and colors. This stylistic blend serves to visually convey the character’s social background, emotional states, and economic context, enriching the narrative through symbolic costume elements.
