The Essay, Memory and Subjectivity: mechanisms of time modulation and the construction of common

This article studies the aesthetics of essay movie, paying attention how it shapes time, memory and history in the film image. For that purpose, we recur to thesis by Corrigan(2015) about essay movie, Rancière’s though about Chris Marker and politics and common, to document analysis written by Foucault(2016) and to the work by Lapoujade (2015), which concept politics considering Deleuze's philosophy. We have as main objects the movies Sans soleil (1983), by Chris Marker, Surname Viet given name Nam (1989), by Trinh T. Minh-ha and As I was moving ahead when ocassionally I saw brief glimpses of beauty (2000), by Jonas Mekas.Downloads
